Emotional Intelligence with teenage boys in East London

Interviews and a focus group discussion conducted with UCL's Institute of Education following delivery of Mind With Heart's mindfulness based-empathy and compassion training to year 9 boys in Swanlea Secondary School showed that students experienced a number of benefits to their emotional health. Following the training, students reported feeling more able to express and engage with their emotions, manage stress, and support their peers emotionally.

Mindfulness and Compassion with teenagers in France

Research carried out by the University of Montpellier on pupils found the impact to be on cognitive, relational and emotional levels. They reported that students were more at ease when they did not know the answer, were less rigid in their thinking and more connected to other people and to nature. ACCORDING TO THE RESEARCHERS, STUDENTS WERE MORE RESPONSIBLE, LESS VIOLENT AND LESS PRONE TO INDOCTRINATION OR RADICALISATION.
