Do you agree with what they say?
Taking students out of the usual school environment gives them the opportunity to reflect on their attitudes and priorities afresh. Mind with Heart's organising of an annual Youth Gathering brings together 300 teenagers from diverse schools to explore the benefits of mindfulness and compassion and the logic underpinning them. Personal stories of transformation and practical tools are shared, along with talks by world-renowned neuroscientists with the latest research findings on the relationship between mindfulness, compassion and the brain.
Comments from teenagers:
"I really enjoyed it. It gave me an idea of how to think about myself and I learned a lot about valuing what I do. I will think more about what I say and the things that I say to myself."
"I used to judge a lot, but it made me realize that you don't need to judge people. You need to accept people for who they are."
